Privacy Policy

Account data: name, email, phone number, password (bcrypt-hashed).

Vehicle data: make, model, registration number.

Booking data: service selected, date, time, pickup address, payment records.

Device data: IP address, user agent, push notification token (only if you opt in).

Location data: only when you actively grant permission to help pick the right pickup address.

To create and manage your bookings and provide customer support.

To process payments via Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant partner).

To send transactional messages (booking confirmations, reminders, invoices).

To improve our service via aggregated, non-identifying analytics.

We never sell your data to third parties.

Booking + payment records are retained for 7 years (income-tax compliance in India).

Push notification tokens are deleted when you remove the app or opt out.

You can request full account deletion at hello@getmechanic.app — we honour it within 30 days.

Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications (Google).

You can view, update, or delete your account and vehicle data any time from Settings.

You can revoke Google Calendar access from your Google account settings.

You can turn off notifications from your device settings or in-app.

All communication is over HTTPS/TLS 1.3.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We never store plaintext passwords.

Payment card data is handled by Razorpay — never touches our servers.
